Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and an accompanying delegation at his office in Riyadh on Monday (March 24).
The delegation included Minister of National Economy Mihály Varga, Minister of National Human Resources Zoltan Balog, State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Miklos Kallay, Saudi Ambassador to Hungary Hatem Alghamdi, and István Nagy, Gyula Teller and Imre Kerenyi, all advisers.
The delegation also included Hungarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) President Laszlo Parragh, National Innovation Office President Endre Spaller, and Foreign Department Head Istvan Grof.
During the meeting, the prince and Orbán discussed a number of investment issues and the bilateral economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Hungary.
Orbán commended Prince Alwaleed on his efforts in playing a vital role in economic and social development, referring to his local, regional and international investments. The two also discussed Prince Alwaleed’s investments in Hungary through Citigroup in the banking sector and via Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in the hotel sector, Four Seasons hotel via the management of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in which KHC holds a 47.5 percent interest.
