Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office Olga Kefalogianni, Greek minister of tourism.
The Minister was accompanied by a delegation that included Ioannis Christofilis, Greek Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ioanna Dretta, director of the Minister’s Cabinet, Agapi Politi, special adviser, Nikolaos Sigalas, diplomatic adviser, Aikaterini Diasiti, special adviser and Antonios Papamalis, first secretary, Embassy of Greece in Riyadh.
The meeting was attended by Heba Fatani, senior executive manager, corporate communication department, Nahla Nasser Alanbar, private executive assistant to the chairman, Hassna Alturki, department head travel and external affairs and Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, executive assistant to the chairman.
The meeting began as the minister thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving her the opportunity to meet him.
The two also discussed a number of general local, regional issues and the global economic climate.
The minister commended the KHC chairman on his efforts on the business front, describing the prince as one of the largest and most influential global investors, and commended him on his global philanthropic support.
In August 2013, Prince Alwaleed visited Athens, Greece and met the Greek Minister of National Defense at the Ministry of National Defense. During the meeting Prince Alwaleed and Avramopoulos discussed various general issues.
Also, Prince Alwaleed met with Prime Minister Samaras of Greece in Athens during the prince’s visit to Greece.
Prince Alwaleed’s indirect investments in Greece through KHC include Citigroup in the financial sector and Movenpick in the hotels sector.
