Hizbullah International Relations Official, Ammar al-Moussawi, met with the China's Special Envoy to Syria, Xie Xiaoyan, with talks reportedly touching on most recent developments in the region, notably in terms of the Syrian crisis, as per a statement by Hezbollah's Media Relations office.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing the war on terror, as this war has achieved a great deal in stamping out the capabilities of terrorist groups, statement said.
They also underlined the importance of reaching political solutions to the crisis in Syria and other crises in the region.
On the other hand, talks dwelt on the significance of economic and development cooperation between the two countries, in light of China's openness to the region and what is known as the one-way belt project.
Both considered that development plans are of great importance in the containment and elimination of tensions.
Chinese-Lebanese ties also highlighted their talks, with emphasis on the need to further bolster these ties at the various political, economic and cultural levels.
