President Michel Aoun on Wednesday reassured the Lebanese over the economic situation, stressing that all givens indicate a period of growth in the country and that crises are now from the past.
He also said that the financial situation would improve, expecting a drop in interests.
Aoun made these remarks during his meeting at Baabda palace with a delegation of Association of Lebanese Business People in the World, led by Mr. Fouad Zmokhol.
The President indicated that the problems Lebanon had encountered were internal, and that they were not caused by foreign factors.
He maintained that currently, efforts were focusing on the economic and financial condition, in addition to the Syrian refugee dossier and the fight against corruption.
Separately, Aoun met with MP Bahiya Hariri, who extended him with an invitation to attend the Hariri Foundation's forum on sustainable human developments, to be held in collaboration with the Saudi Embassy in Beirut, in commemoration of PM Rafic Hariri's martyrdom.
