Army says eight people killed in Hamoudieh raids refused to surrender, fired at LAF force

The Lebanese Army Command - Orientation Directorate - issued on Wednesday a statement that explains that the eight persons killed during the Hamoudieh raid operation had refused to surrender to the raid force and had opened fire at the LAF elements despite the many warnings.

Investigations and interrogations, under the supervision of the competent judiciary, prove that all eight of them (Ali Zaid Ismail, Mohammad Zaid Ismail, Ahmad Ali Ismail, Yahya Ahmad Ismail, Paul Jean Noman, Zeinab Mohammad Ismail, Syrian Hussein Ali al-Matar and Syrian Rakan Hassan al-Shamali) were outlaws against whom several arrest warrant were long issued, the statement included.
