Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister ,Hussein Arnous, discussed Thursday with Head of the Syrian-Iranian People’s Friendship Association, Hassan Akhtari, and the accompanying delegation, ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields, and develop them in a way that achieves the common interest of the two friendly countries and peoples.

The two sides stressed the depth of the Syrian-Iranian relations and the importance of broadening their horizons in order to enable the economies of the two countries to face the current challenges and unilateral sanctions imposed on the peoples of the two countries, as well as the need to strengthen economic cooperation, especially in the fields of industry, oil derivatives, housing, construction and technology.

Premier Arnous welcomed Iranian companies wishing to invest in Syria and establish joint projects in a number of vital sectors, thus contributing to strengthening the national economy in light of the unjust siege to which the Syrian people are subjected.

Akhtari, for his part, stressed the importance of working to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, reflecting the strategic relations binding the two peoples and countries.
