Awqaf Minister says Egypt serious about strengthening human rights

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said Saturday 11/09/2021 that Egypt is taking serious steps towards strengthening human rights.

The Egyptian administration is working through a comprehensive and balanced vision while addressing the human rights file, he noted.

This vision is based on respecting the religious and cultural differences of nations and refraining from interference in the internal affairs of other states and breaching their sovereignty on the false pretext of defending human rights, Gomaa said.

Egypt has a holistic view of human rights, which advocates achieving equality and dignity of all; the individual and the society alike, and regards the realization of human rights; including the rights to life, health, education, work and decent housing, as one of the ultimate goals of development, he added.
