Awqaf Minister: Syria and Russia defend their legitimate rights

Moscow, SANA- Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed affirmed that Syria and Russia defend their legitimate rights, adding that Islam is a religion of love and goodness.

During the Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque of Moscow, al-Sayyed said in the presence of thousands of worshipers and the head of the Religious Administration for Muslims of Russia and a group of religious scholars from all Arab and Islamic countries, “We come from Syria, the cradle of Christianity and the starting point of Islam, which has been subjected to an unjust terrorist war and to Western conspiracy like the one to which Russia is subjected today, and here, from Moscow, we express our thanks and gratitude to Russia and its President Vladimir Putin for their stand by Syria and its people.”.
