Baabda Palace witnessed on Tuesday an array of ministerial and diplomatic meetings.
On the Ministerial level, President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, welcomed Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Hassan Murad, who briefed him on his work program in the forthcoming stage, in addition to a number of topics to be addressed by his ministry in coordination with other ministries.
In the wake of the meeting, Murad explained that he had discussed with the President the needs of the Bekaa region, especially concerning Beirut-Bekaa tunnel project, as well as the preservation of green spaces and civil organization projects.
The President also had an audience with Minister of State for Displaced Affairs, Saleh Al-Gharib, with whom he discussed refugee affairs.
In the wake of the meeting, Al-Gharib said, "We put President Aoun in the atmosphere of our visit to Syria, and we call on everyone to remove the refugee dossier from political polarization."
On the diplomatic level, Ambassador of India to Lebanon, Sanjiv Arora, paid the President a farewell visit upon wining up his diplomatic mission in Lebanon.
The President heaped praise on Arora's efforts to promote Lebanese-Indian relations during his stay in Beirut.
