BERRI, ABDULLAHIAN TACKLE LATEST REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS

House Speaker, Nabih Berri, met on Monday at his Ain Tineh residence with the Special Assistant to Speaker of Iran's Shura Council, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, and Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali.

Talks reportedly touched on the bilateral ties and most recent developments in the region.

On emerging, Abdullahian congratulated Lebanon, people, army and resistance, on the recent great victory achieved against terrorism and terrorists in Arsal, saying such victory comes as a continuation of previous realized victories against the terrorist forces in Aleppo and Mosul.

The Iranian official also said that talks centered on a range of key regional political dossiers, stressing Iran's support to the sovereignty and unity of all regional countries.

Abdullahian underlined that Iran shall not allow the enemies of the region to succeed in their sabotage and subversive schemes aimed at fragmenting and disintegrating the countries of this region.

On the other hand, Speaker Berri met with the Secretary General of the Lebanese Syrian Supreme Council Nasri Khoury.
