House Speaker, Nabih Berri, met Monday at his Ain El Tineh residence with a delegation of the US work group tasked by the Congress to evaluate the situation in Syria.
The US delegation is chaired by Dana Stroul.
Talks during the meeting reportedly touched on the current situation in Syria and its reverberations on Lebanon and the region.
On the other hand, Speaker Berri received Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Selim Jreissati, with whom he discussed the general situation in the country and the appointments' issue, including that of the Constitutional Council and the Central Bank.
The Speaker also met with Belgian Ambassador to Lebanon, Belgian Ambassador to Lebanon, Hubert Cooreman, with the current situation and the bilateral relations featuring high on their talks.
Berri later met with Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon, Wijeratne Mendis, with talks reportedly touching on the bilateral relations.
