CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab has met with Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih to discuss the future of investment partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed on developing an integrated plan to attract Saudi investments to Egypt and ensure their flow; in light of economic convergence between the two brotherly countries, GAFI said in a statement on Tuesday 21/6/2022.

Abdel Wahab pointed out to the diverse areas of investment cooperation between Cairo and Riyadh, which he said has witnessed great successes as a result of the economic and legislative reforms carried out by the Egyptian government.

He also highlighted integration between economies of both countries in the sectors of energy, food and pharmaceutical industries, and real estate development, among others.

The official noted that GAFI is keen to remove all obstacles facing Saudi investors and facilitate procedures for their investments.
