Damascus-Presidential candidate of “the opposition Syrian Democratic Front,” Mahmoud Marei cast his vote to the presidential election at Jawdat al-Hashemi School polling station in Damascus.
“I am a candidate for the national internal and external opposition, and my candidacy is considered as the first time in Syria with an opposition candidate heading for the polls and electing himself and expressing his opinion,” Marei said in a press statement.
He added “I say to all Syrians, go to the polling stations and choose the best program and the most qualified person for the leadership of Syria.”
Marei affirmed that he will accept the results of the election, according to the will and choice of the Syrian people.
