Cartoonist Raed Khalil wins special prize in Slovakia

Damascus -A cartoon painting about the necessity of adopting dialogue to renounce violence and force, by the Syrian cartoonist Raed Khalil, won the special prize in the Brain Sneezing International Competition in Slovakia.

The theme of the competition, which witnessed a wide participation of cartoonists from all over the world, revolved around inviting people to confront violence in elegant ways and to change the nature of conflicts to a trend away from bloody and persecution of others.

Khalil’s winning painting depicts a group of ideas in the confrontation of the iron fist, in reference to the role of dialogue and that the word is stronger than any weapon.

Khalil has previously won several prizes in the past and current months from Golden Apple Festival in Romania and at the 7th International Verizage Festival in Kosovo.
