Damascus-Upon the directives of the General Commander of the army and armed forces, President Bashar al-Assad, the army's Chief of Staff, Major General Ali Abdullah Ayoub, visited on Thursday the army units working in Raqqa western countryside, and the eastern countryside of Aleppo and Hama.
During the visit, General Ayoub inspected the combatant operations' field in al-Badyah, and the volume of success achieved by the armed forces in their war against ISIS terrorist organization.
General Ayoub also visited al-Thawra oil field and al-Babeiri water-pumping station where he inspected the volume of damage caused by the ISIS terrorist organization and met several army members and the technical staff assigned with the rehabilitation of these facilities.
Touring a number of military posts and sites, General Ayoub met soldiers at their positions and conveyed President al-Assad's appreciation and gratitude to their sacrifices, heroism and great achievements, hailing their spirit morale and firm determination to defeat terrorism.
Later on, General Ayoub listened to a detailed explanation given by field officers who briefed him on the nature of combatant tasks performed by the Syrian army forces, inspected the future military operations to be carried out in the region and provided them with his instructions.
He noted that the terrorist scheme is collapsing thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people and their support to the army and leadership, reiterating determination to continue the war on terrorism and restore security and stability to the country in cooperation with Syria's friends and allies.
