Citizens of Golan reiterate rejection of Israeli occupation’s plans to build wind turbines on their land

The citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan reiterated their categorical rejection of the Israeli occupation authorities scheme to build wind turbines on thousands of dunums of their lands.

The citizens of Golan called on the international community, particularly the UN, to stop this settlement scheme aimed at displacing them, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy.

Wind turbine scheme is constituted one of the most dangerous Judaizing colonial schemes which target the Occupied Syrian Golan , involving seizing nearly 6000 dunums throughout three stages , in which the first stage , the occupation seized areas of the abandoned villages (Eyon al-Hajal, al-Mansoura and al-Taljiyat) and built 42 turbines on them with a height of 120 meters, while the second one included the lands of Majdal Shams, Masada, Ain Qinya, and Bekatha villages, and the third one was the Tel al-Fars area.

Syrian freed captive, Sidqi al-Maqt, said in a statement to SANA reporter that despite the occupation’s seizure of lands of these villages, the locals still keep the keys of their houses and all documents which prove their ownership of them, affirming their right to return to their land from which they were displaced.
