A delegation of the Cyprus Parliament comprising of Andros Kyprianou (head), Alexandra Attalides, Christiana Erotokritou and Marinos Mousiouttas is travelling to Manama, Bahrain on Thursday to participate in the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held between March 11-15 .
An announcement by the Cyprus House says that participants will discuss the fight against intolerance and the promotion of peaceful coexistence and inclusive societies.
Emerging risks to global security from cyber-attacks and cyber-crime, the role of parliaments in achieving a negative carbon balance in forests, as well as tackling children trafficking and the integration of gender dimension in the UN General Assembly, are also on the agenda.
A session of the “12+” Geopolitical Group will preced the Assembly and Kyprianou, Attalides and Mousiouttas are going to attend.
