The Czech Svetadíly website said in a special report on Syria that it is the cradle of civilizations because of its cultural, religious, historical and geographical heritage.
In its report, the site highlighted importance of environmental and geographical diversity in Syria and the difference between ancient and modern cities and villages.
The report referred to the fortified palaces and castles that spread in Syria, including Krak des chevaliers which is considered the best preserved castle in the world.
The website noted that Damascus is the oldest city in history because of the inspiration it represents in its markets, streets and mosques, as it described Hama as a pearl and Palmyra as the bride of the desert.
