DAMASCUS, Syria, - The spokesman of the Daesh group, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, was killed Tuesday, during battles in the country's northern province of Aleppo.
The Daesh's Amaq Agency said, al-Adnani was killed "while surveying the operations, to repel the military campaigns against Aleppo."
The Daesh statement didn't specify where exactly he was killed in Aleppo.
He was also one of the main commanders of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the Daesh leader.
Born in the countryside of the north-western province of Idlib, al-Adnani also served in al-Qaeda in Iraq, in 2003.
