Manama, The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) reported that Bahraini women constitute 53% of the Institute’s total cadres. Furthermore, they hold 66% of middle and senior management and executive roles.

DANAT stressed that it underlines Bahraini women’s capacity to prove their significance and capability in a variety of disciplines and at all levels, thanks to the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).

DANAT Institute CEO Noora Jamsheer, marked International Women’s Day, and said that Bahrain, through the SCW, has a remarkable national experience in gender balance in numerous professions. This includes qualitative fields related to pearls, gold, diamonds, and gemstones.

“This is a significant occasion to highlight the outstanding contributions of Bahraini women to the national plan implemented by the Institute to revive the field of pearl extraction and trade in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” Jamsheer added.

“Hence, as part of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, strengthen the Kingdom’s standing as a premier centre of expertise in the field of gemstones.”
