Daraa al-Balad and Tishreen bread facilities in Daraa province resume production

The bread facilities of Daraa al-Balad and  Tishreen  have resumed work after securing the supplies of flour, yeast, fuel and others.

 

Director of the branch of the Syrian Establishment for Bread Facilities, Eng. Farid al-Sweidan, said in a statement to SANA reporter on Sunday that once security and stability returned to the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad, al-Sad Road, and the camps within the framework of the settlement agreement proposed by the state, the two bread facilities have begun working to provide bread to citizens in sufficient quantities and with the required quality.

 

Sweidan added that the bread facilities also provide the needs of some residential compounds in Daraa al-Mahata neighborhood.

 

He noted that the production capacity of the two bread facilities amounts to 13,200 kilograms of flour per day, including 7,200 kilograms for the reserve Tishreen bread facility, and the rest for Daraa al-Balad bread facility.

 

Sweida said that the Governorate on Sunday increased the allocations for the Daraa al-Balad bread facility by 1.5 tons at the request of the population and to cover the needs.

 

It is noteworthy that the two bread facilities haven’t been working over the past two months.
