MP Assaad Dergham indicated Monday that a breakthrough regarding the government formation is expected to happen this week, stressing that PM-designate Saad Hariri and Caretaker Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil will resume consultations upon their return to Lebanon.
"This week will be conclusive as to the formation of the government," Dergham told OTV channel.
"Caretaker Minister Bassil and PM-designate Hariri will resume the consultations when they return to Lebanon," he said.
On the ties with Syria, he renewed calls for "correct" and "sound" bilateral relations.
Furthermore, Dergham said that the recent remarks by Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, engendered "relief" at the domestic level.
