Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday chaired the Development and Liberation Parliamentary bloc's meeting, which stepped up calls for the return of Syria to the Arab League.
MP Anwar Al-Khalil, the parliamentary bloc's general secretary, said in the wake of the meeting that MPs discussed national, parliamentary, and social affairs, as well as regional developments.
The parliamentary bloc affirmed the adoption of President Berri's call for the construction of a civil state in Lebanon. MPs also followed up on the contacts underway to form a government, noting that the delay is caused by attempts to marginalize some sides.
On another level, the parliamentary bloc called on concerned sides to act immediately to compensate for those affected by the storm.
