The Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Abu Zeid, Tuesday condemned the far-right Israeli finance minister’s use of a map of Israel that includes Jordanian territories and the occupied Palestinian territories, describing it as “irresponsible behaviour.” Abu Zeid told the Jordan News Agency’s correspondent in Cairo, “This behaviour is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of a sister Arab country, a waste of recognised international borders and a violation of the peace treaty signed between Jordan and Israel.” He affirmed Egypt’s “full” solidarity with the Kingdom.
