Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held on Thursday 16/3/2023 a phone call with his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos during which he congratulated him for assuming the post in the new Cypriot ministerial reshuffle.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said the two ministers praised deeply-rooted relations binding Egypt with Cyprus, underlining the importance of maintaining coordination and consultations within the coming period.
Talks also tackled regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Shoukry said he hopes to see the Cypriot minister in Cairo as soon as possible.
