Egypt mufti praises Sisi decision to end state of emergency

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has decided to end a state of emergency observed in Egypt for many years; a move that was much praised by the mufti, Dr Shawqi Allam, who called it “a real achievement”.

 

 

 

This is yet another achievement by the Egyptian state, Allam said in a statement on Tuesday 26/10/2021, noting that Sisi’s decision reflects the degree of stability in the country that resulted from a wise strategy in managing the different files, atop of which the fight against terrorism.

 

 

He added that ending the state of emergency sure has many positive effects on Egypt, whether at home or abroad.

 

 

Allam thanked those who contributed to this important achievement, especially the Armed Forces and police.
