Egypt Post elected as member of UPU board of directors, investment committee

Egypt Post was elected as a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) board of directors and the investment committee for four years.

 

The elections were organized during the 27th round of the UPU held on August 9-28 in Abidjan.

 

Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat asserted that Egypt’s selection reflects the international community’s appreciation of its important role at the regional and international levels to develop the postal policies.

 

He added that the election also embodies the success of the state’s strategy that aims at developing Egypt Post and enhance its regional and international role. He noted the vital role played by Egypt Post in supporting the state’s plans aiming at reaching digital transformation.

 

The minister greeted the leaders and employees of the Egypt Post over such important step.
