Egypt reports 2,117 new coronavirus cases, 56 fatalities

The Health Ministry said on Tuesday night 15/2/2022 that 2,117 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed infections since the outbreak in the country began to 459,198.

In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said 56 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 23,465.

As many as 1,546 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 390,489 so far, the spokesman said.
