Egypt reports 667 new coronavirus cases, 39 deaths

The Health Ministry said Saturday night that 667 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in the country to 300,945.

 

In a statement, Spokesman for the Ministry Khaled Megahed said 39 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 17,149.

 

As many as 789 patients were discharged from hospitals after receiving medical care, taking the total number of recoveries to 254,060 so far, the spokesman added.
