Transport Minister Kamel el-Wazir on Thursday 15/12/2022 discussed in a meeting with UK trade envoy to Egypt Jeffrey Donaldson means of boosting bilateral cooperation in different areas of transport.

Wazir reviewed the available investment opportunities in Egypt, calling on British companies to take part in transport projects.

The transport minister pointed to the ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the UK in the manufacture of monorail carriages.

On his part, the UK trade envoy said his country looks forward to cementing cooperation with Egypt in the projects being carried out in the fields of transport and basic infrastructure.

Donaldson congratulated Egypt on the success of the UN Climate Change Conference , COP27, held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, stressing that London is interested in bolstering cooperation with Cairo in various domains and strengthening coordination on the issues of common concern.
