Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli discussed with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida via video conference bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest on the sidelines of Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) held in Tunis.

In his speech which he read out on behalf of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Madbouli thanked Japan for its efforts to render the TICAD successful.

He also offered condolences over the death of late Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe who contributed to promoting the level of partnership between Egypt and Japan.
