The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Sunday briefed the German Ambassador Bernhard Kampmann on its awareness campaign which focuses on educating young people and women.

According to a statement, Chairman of the IEC Musa Maaytah told the envoy that the campaign aims to increase political participation by carrying out a series of measures, such as implementing the “Ana Usharek” (I Participate) extracurricular program and holding a political week in jordanian universities, in addition to training new voters, including school students.

For his part, the German ambassador lauded the commission’s efforts, stressing support for the commission’s efforts to encourage all groups, especially youth and women, to take part in politics.
