Emigration min. launches “Egypt’s Voice in Africa” initiative

Emigration Minister Nabila Makram announced launching “Egypt’s Voice in Africa” initiative within the framework of Egypt’s efforts to restore of its pioneering role in Africa.

She made the remarks during a virtual meeting with a number of Egyptian expats in several African states, including Nigeria, Namibia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, and Senegal, according to a statement on Monday.

The Egyptian expats presented several proposals on means of activating tourism and aviation in collaboration with African states.

The minister also plans to hold a weekly meeting with Egyptian expats in Africa to exchange views.

Makram said she held talks with the Kemet Foundation – which is one of the most important civil Egyptian organization having a wide-scale activity in Africa – to further cooperation to back Egyptian expats in Africa.

Egypt has taken firm strides over the past years to enhance cooperation with Africa in line with the vision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to restore Egypt’s pioneering role in Africa.
