Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Moderation Enhancement, Mr. Fahad Al-Shualah, condemned the terrorist shooting incedent of two mosques in centeral Christchurch, New Zealand, which killed and injured dozens of innocent people.
The minister said in a press statement that terrorism has become a global scourge that threatens innocent people around the world, which requires everyone to take responsibility to counter these deviant thoughts and ideologies, stressing that "Terrorism has no religion and no homeland".
He added; "It is necessary to unite and exert further efforts in order to eliminate terrorism, eradicate its thoughts, and work to spread values of moderation so that security and safety can prevail among people everywhere."
Al-Shualah also expressed sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims targeted by the cowardly terrorist act, praying to Allah Almighty to grant the injured a speedy and full recovery.
