Far: Egypt Vision 2030 aims at upgrading life quality of Egyptians

Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el-Far said alternative housing units projects for residents of unsafe areas are part of a comprehensive and sustainable development plan according to Egypt Vision 2030.

 

The country’s vision is aimed to upgrade quality of life of Egyptians nationwide, added Far in remarks to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who is inaugurating a number of the projects in the 6th of October city.

 

He went on to say that there was an unfair distribution of resources because of unsafe and unplanned areas in the country, adding that initiatives launched by the president to solve the crisis have contributed to ending this crisis.

 

Far highlighted painstaking efforts exerted by the Armed Forces to develop unsafe areas and provide decent residential units for the residents in line with the president’s directives in this regard.

 

The Authority has established one million housing units nationwide at a total cost worth 635 billion Egyptian pounds, he added.

 

Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el-Far said Al Khayala project contains 268 housing units that have been fully finalized, adding that no location would be open until needed surrounding services areas are completed.

 

The second phase of the services projects has been launched in January, he said, noting that the project is set to be fully completed by November.

 

During the inauguration of alternative housing projects for residents of unsafe areas in 6th of October city, Far said (Bashayer Al-Khair 4-5-6-7-8) project is implemented as part of this great national venture on an area of 250 feddans that are set to house 816 buildings and 44,000 housing units.

 

Al Desmy village faced many problems related to floods because it had been established with no scientific basis, he said, highlighting that 256 housing units and 256 poultry barns were implemented for the residents of the village.

 

Far noted that Ahalina 3 is one of the still under construction projects. It occupies on an area of 35 feddans, to include 35 residential buildings and 3,012 housing units.

 

The implementation rate of this project hits 45 percent.

 

Plans to upgrade 13 governorates are being implemented, with 108,000 residential units designed to be built, he noted, pointing out that only 30 of related work has so far been completed.

 

The chief of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority said 54,000 housing units will be implemented as part of the national project to develop the Egyptian countryside, noting that the authority is set to receive a number of land plots in the coming two weeks for this purpose.

 

Ihab el-Far said 27 housing buildings will be implemented in northern Al Herafieen area, located in El Dewaiqa, on 60 feddans, in addition to 954 craft workshops and 44 shops.

 

Shinzō Abe Axis has been implemented in Al Amal city area, and a large area has been allocated to establish a complex for craft workshop, he noted.

 

The chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority said 141 workshops will be established along Shinzo Abe Axis, noting that the number of workshops will range between 300 to 317.

 

Work is under way in the construction design phase of all facilities to be established across the axis while the implementation phase will start in a month, he said, adding that President Sisi ordered completing work in this project in no more than six months.

 

Ahalina 2 housing project is established on an area of 15 feddans at a total cost of EGP 1.1 billion over a period of 18 months, he said, adding that it includes 34 residential buildings and 1,400 housing units.

 

All needed services have been completed in the area, he underlined.
