Foreign Minister and President-Designate of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) Sameh Shoukry on Wednesday 8/6/2022reviewed priorities of the next Egyptian presidency of COP27.
This came during Shoukry’s meetings with members of the Group of 77 and China in the German city of Bonn, where the 56th session of meetings of the subsidiary bodies of the UNFCCC meetings is held.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Hafez said that Shoukry referred to the important role the Group of 77 is playing to serve the interests and probe concerns of developing countries in climate change negotiations.
Shoukry is now visiting Germany, to attend the 56th session of meetings of the 56th session of the subsidiary bodies of the UNFCCC meetings.
The foreign minister will sign an agreement concerning Egypt’s hosting of COP27, slated in November in Sharm el-Sheikh Red Sea resort city.
