Syria has affirmed that the hypocrisy pursued by the US administration through excluding some occupied areas in northeastern and northwestern Syria from coercive measures is just a cheap deception, stressing that the lies of the American and Western empire of lies no longer deceive anyone.
“There was news yesterday and today about a new approach by the US administration to exclude the areas occupied by US forces in the Syrian Arab Republic, which are controlled by separatist groups loyal to Washington and terrorist militias loyal to the Turkish regime in the northeast and northwest of Syria from the illegitimate unilateral coercive measures imposed by Washington on Syria years ago,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Ministry affirmed that “This hypocrisy of the US administration, which is involved in the aggression against Syria to justify its policies which it claims that they aim to improve the mechanism of delivery of humanitarian aid and reduce economic losses to those areas, is just a cheap American deception of international legitimacy and the values advocated by the UN in all its resolutions related to Syria, on top respecting the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.”
The Ministry added that Washington’s imposition of the existence of foundling groups and considering them as having authority in the areas it occupies, and the legislation of theft of agricultural crops, oil, gas and other Syrian wealth is a perpetuation of a behavior that can thwart the political process to resolve the crisis in Syria, and it creates more chaos, violence and fuels separatist tendencies across our region and the world, which is witnessing similar crises.”
The Ministry noted that the US administration, its agents, and its tools know that the best way to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people and mitigate the repercussions of the crisis, which lasted for more than ten years and Washington was the most prominent one who stirred it up, is only through the respect for international legitimacy and UN resolutions, foremost of which is the respect for Syria’s sovereignty and the lifting the unjust coercive measures imposed by the Western states.
The Ministry stressed that the American and Western empire of lies no longer deceives anyone, as its illusory projects for freedom, democracy and human rights have been proven false and invalid in more than one place, and here are its criminal activities in its biological warfare laboratories that testify that an empire in which lies and double standards are combined is a direct threat to international peace and security.
The ministry concluded by saying: “The government of the Syrian Arab Republic reserves the right to sue the US administration and its tools for the crimes it committed against Syria, and to hold it responsible for the serious damages resulting from its hostile policy.”
