Amman: The procedures for renewing the annual resident permits given to Arab and foreign students enrolled in Jordanian colleges have changed, according to a Monday announcement from the Interior Ministry.
Interior Minister Mazen Farraya has delegated the authority to renew annual residency permits for foreign students to the director of the Residency and Borders Department as well as the directors of the directorate’s branches in the Public Security Department, under the same conditions and requirements, but now without having to visit the Ministry of the Interior, according to a statement from the ministry.
This decision was made to help students at both public and private colleges in Jordan save time and effort that can be better put toward their studies.
