Four medals for Syria at Arab Wrestling Championship

The Syrian wrestling team has gained four medals, a gold, a silver and two bronzes on the first day of the Arab Youth and Junior Championship for Roman and Freestyle Wrestling hosted by Saudi Arabia.

The gold medal went for Ali Nshiwati in the competitions of the Roman wrestling, 130 kg youth category, while Mohammad Obeid won the silver medal in the competitions of the 72 kg weight category, Ammar Tahhan won a bronze medal in the 63 kg category and Anwar Sharafawy won a bronze medal in the 92 kg category.

180 wrestlers representing 12 Arab countries are participating in the Championship which are Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine and Sudan.
