The Constitutional Council is to decide on the new pension reforms on April 14 and put an end to the controversy over bill which aims to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 years.
The nine-member Council will also rule on the initiative to hold a national referendum and the draft social security act for 2023, it said in a press release on Wednesday.
The announcement came 11 days into the mass protests and worker strikes being staged nationwide against the government move to reform the retirement system.
The trade unions are scheduled to hold talks with representatives of the government at Hotel Matignon on Wednesday one day ahead of the public mobilization due on April 6.
