Lebanese Forces' leader, Samir Geagea, maintained that Iran did not win in the region considering the tremendous pressures Tehran and its allies are facing without making any related reaction.
"It is wrong to believe that Tehran has won in the region," Geagea told L'Orient Le Jour daily.
"The Iranian axis is facing great pressures in the region, as proven by the repeated Israeli airstrikes on Iran and its allies in Syria, and to which Iran did not react," he explained.
"As to Hezbollah, this party has been present in Lebanon for 30 years and its militia had not been legalized; on the contrary, discussions today focus on the means to dissolve its military units. So, how can we say that Hezbollah is the master of the game on the Lebanese scene?" Geagea continued.
He also said that Hezbollah would not be able to take over Lebanon due to the country's particularity.
Moreover, Geagea ruled out the return of the Syrian regime's hegemony to Lebanon.
He also indicated that there was a conflict of interests between Russia and Iran in the region.
