The unemployment rate in Germany came in at 3% in February, according to the statistical office on Friday. The number of jobless fell by 79,000, or 5.6% from a year ago to 1.32 million people this February, Destatis said. Roughly 45.5 million persons resident in Germany were in employment in February, it added.
