Moscow,- Syria's ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad met on Sunday members of Syrian mission who participated in the 6th Children of Asia International Sports Games at the Syrian Embassy in Moscow.
The session of the games was held from 5 to 17 July and hosted by Sakha Republic.
During the meeting, Haddad expressed pride over the participation of the Syrians in such games for children, hailing the steadfastness of the Syrian people who defend their homeland not only by arms but also by the word, picture, theatre and sport.
He said that Syria is alive in the hearts of all Syrians wherever they were, adding that the Syrian people reject terrorism and the terrorist ideology and don't surrender to the will of any body.
For their part, members of the Syrian mission asserted that the Syrian army achieves successive victories in its war against terrorism as the Syrian people achieve victories on different international fronts because they are seekers of life while terrorists are seekers of death and destruction.
Syria participated in the event with 50 players in 11 games, including boxing, judo, Kurash, chess, ping-pong, wrestling, Sambo, athletic, archery, swimming and taekwondo.
