Minister of Economy and Trade, Alain Hakim, met on Tuesday European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Christina Lassen, over the means to bolster bilateral relations.
The pair mainly followed up on the proceedings of the joint committee between Lebanon and the EU, pertaining to enhancing commercial trade and facilitating the entrance of Lebanese products to European markets.
During the meeting, Hakim reportedly shone light on the current apple crisis in the country, asking the EU to provide the required help in that respect.
Talks did not fail to touch on the issue of Syrian displaced and the necessary help from the EU to the Lebanese host communities.
