Prime Minister Saad Hariri met, at the Grand Serail on Monday, with Minister of National Defense, Yaacoub Sarraf, and Army Chief General Joseph Aoun, with talks featuring high on the security situation and the measures undertaken by the military nationwide.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Hariri maintained that the Lebanese army had conducted a "very successful" operation in Arsal.
He also voiced rejection of the attempts to sow tension among the military commands.
"The political support for the Lebanese army is unconditional, and I maintain that the army command is always keen on civilians," he added.
"There is a transparent probe into the deaths of the four Syrian detainees," he indicated.
