The President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri received today at the Grand Serail the Minister of State for Planning Issues Michel Pharaon and discussed with him the situation.
Hariri also received a delegation from the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Plants in Lebanon headed by its President Carol Abi Karam who said after the meeting: "We thanked Prime Minister Hariri for sponsoring the launch of the national campaign to support the Lebanese pharmaceutical industry on February 7, 2017. We informed him about the challenges facing this industry and the opportunities to develop it. He expressed his full support and we hope to take future steps to ensure the suitable environment to continue the development of this sector that is considered a cornerstone in the health and economic system, in order to reduce the cost of medicine in Lebanon and ensure job opportunities for the youth in our plants."
Hariri met with the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Cagatay Erciyes and discussed with him the developments and bilateral relations.
He also received the World Bank Director for the Middle East Ferid Belhaj in the presence of his Advisor for Syrian displaced affairs Nadim Mounla. Discussions focused on the projects implemented by the bank in Lebanon and the assistance required to meet the needs of the displaced Syrians.
Hariri also received the President of the Lebanese University Fouad Ayoub.
