Ministry of Health received Monday four respirators donated by Pope Francis, which were delivered by the Apostolic Nuncio in Damascus, Cardinal Mario Zenari.
Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash, said in a press statement that two devices would be allocated to the General Authority of al-Basel Hospital for Cardiac Diseases and Surgery in Damascus, and two others would be allocated to al-Basel centre for heart Disease and Surgery in Aleppo.
Al-Ghobash noted that these devices support the ministry’s efforts to address the Corona epidemic ,and the intensive care rooms, needs in hospitals.
He thanked the Pope for this gift which bears love and peace meanings.
In turn, Cardinal Zenari, conveys the good wishes of Pope Francis to the Syrian people.
