Hezbollah congratulated the Syrian command and people in a statement on Wednesday, on the fresh liberation of the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk and the neighboring town of Hajar al-Aswad, from Daesh.
"The success of the Syrian army and its allies in eradicating Daesh from this area is a massive achievement," Hezbollah said in the statement.
"This is a new victory for the Resistance axis within the framework of its efforts to liberate the entire Syrian soil from assailants," it added.
Damascus and its surroundings were declared free of Daesh for the first time in seven years on Monday; Yarmouk and Hajar al-Aswad were the group's last strongholds in eastern Syria.
