MP Ammar Houry said in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon - 93.3 radio station that "the military institution is a national consensus point, and we are confident that it has sufficient transparency to reach the conclusion in its investigation after the death of four Syrian detainees."
"It is not acceptable to evaluate the military institution or merely talk about it," he said.
"We must abide by the constitution and the laws in force, and be objective," the MP urged.
On the subject of the return of displaced Syrians, Houry said that "the United Nations is the only side that can discuss the mechanism of return of the displaced and not the Lebanese government, especially that this issue is linked to areas that are still subject to complications."
