Head of the General Security, General Abbas Ibrahim, said that stability in Lebanon was reinforced due to the election of a new President.
In his interview with the monthly magazine of the General Security, Ibrahim said that in 2017, Lebanon would witness more prosperity, development and progress on the security level, especially in the fight against terrorists and the Israeli danger.
Ibrahim noted that despite the social and security burdens of the Syrian Refugees' influx, the situation in Lebanon was, thus far, under control.
"Terrorism now is in process of recession because of the global awareness of its danger," Ibrahim concluded.
